My journey into IT began in high school with a simple goal: hosting my own Minecraft server without relying on external services. What started as a workaround—keeping a video game running 24/7—quickly turned into a hands-on education in system administration, scripting, and networking. I taught myself how to run servers via the command line, automate startup processes on Windows, and eventually transitioned to Linux for greater control and efficiency.

As challenges or simple inconveniences arose, I adapted. I learned SSH to manage headless systems, wrote custom scripts to handle dependencies automatically, and explored new hosting opportunities beyond gaming—deploying a various amount of websites, configuring port forwarding, and securing my sites with SSL certificates.

Running into dependency conflicts led me to dive deeper into virtualization and infrastructure. I began working with hypervisors and containers, using Proxmox to manage isolated environments. This allowed me to ensure program stability while safely experimenting in separate virtual machines without worry. My hands-on experience with troubleshooting and fixing corrupt program installations helped me understand the root causes of software issues, further igniting my interest in IT.

If you asked me 10 years ago where I thought I would be today, I would never have imagined I’d be doing anything even remotely close to what I’m doing now. The path I’ve taken has been anything but conventional, but it’s been a thrilling adventure packed full of surprises with endless opportunities, IT is my addiction and I just can't get enough of it.

The journey of self-discovery and troubleshooting inspired me to apply for an IT Helpdesk position, that became the gateway to my professional IT career. Along the way, I gained a fair amount of experience in Information Systems (IS), which opened doors to learning new technologies and tools I hadn’t known existed before.

Nearly almost a decade later, I’m still building on that foundational knowledge I learned long ago. I currently explore software development, contribute to open-source projects, and create custom solutions that better align tools with real-world and personal needs. I’m driven by a passion to not just use technology, but to understand it, improve it, and create systems that work smarter.
